Sean Combs was born in Harlem, New York City, the United States of America. His father’s name is Melvin Earl Combs, and he previously worked in the U.S. Air Force and is also an associate of a conviction drug dealer. His mother’s name is Janice Combs, and she worked as a model and teaching assistant. 

When Sean was two years old, his father Melvin was shot dead when he was sitting in his car in Central Park West; at the time, he was only 33. He spent his early life in his birthplace Harlem, New York City, along with his family members. Since childhood, he has been interested in rap, and he will use to write songs in his free time. In childhood, many people used to call him Puff because when he was angry, he would Huff and puff.
