Her father, Ben’s Letter

Leeya’s father sent her a letter when she was only six days old, in which he explained to her and the public why he named her the way he did and what he expected of her in the future. According to Ben, the name Leeya means ‘I belong to God’ in Hebrew, and she wears it as a symbol of Ben and Mor’s appreciation to their chosen deity – Orthodox Judaism. He also added that she represents the “future of the Jewish people and the American people” and that they are “saving God’s truth and His freedom for future generations.” The letter reads, ‘And you were our answer, Leeya.’

After Mommy and Daddy prayed fervently to Hashem for a healthy baby, God answered them: ‘Eliana.’ This section explains her middle name, which symbolizes the newlywed couple’s thanks to their deity.

Her Mother – Mor Toledano

Mor Toledano, born in Herzliya, Israel, in 1988, is of Moroccan and Jewish descent. Her family moved to the United States when Mor was 12 years old to Sacramento, California, where she attended an unidentified high school and graduated in 2006. She then attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology in 2010. Mor worked as a developmental neuroscience researcher at UCLA till the second half of 2012.

Mor found work while in medical school, mainly as a clinical skills instructor, teaching the general public the fundamentals of first aid and life-saving techniques. Her medical practice became nearly untraceable after this, until she completed all of her studies, except the previously mentioned laboratory research attempt.

How Her Parents Met

Ben and Mor initially met in the middle of 2004, and they began dating soon after. Their romance blossomed over the next three years, culminating in their engagement in 2007. The pair married a year later in Acre, Israel, in an entirely traditional Jewish ceremony attended by just friends and family.

Her Brother

Since 2016, it has been known that Leeya is no longer Ben and Mor’s only child, but details about her brother have been effectively kept out of the media until the beginning of 2020. Ben is regularly seen speaking about his children, during which he frequently highlights the numerous adventures he has with his little kid. One such example is when he took a moment in “The Conversation” to explain how he brought his son to a restaurant, staring at the opening of the anecdote, “Never take your two-year-old son to dinner.” He has yet to mention his son’s name.

Her Health

Ben and Mor were initially anxious about Leeya’s health because Mor had been in labour for 26 hours. The newborn unavoidably experienced difficulties throughout the procedure, and it was later established that he was born with a congenital cardiac abnormality on the atrial septum. This is recognized as a severely life-threatening condition that is frequently difficult to treat, potentially leading to child mortality. Ben and Mor took all necessary precautions over the next year, having Leeya remain at the LA Children’s Hospital as she awaited heart surgery.

Her Family’s Net Worth

Mor’s net worth is unknown at the time. Still, Ben’s is thought to be approximately $20 million, amassed through different ventures in his career, the most of which stem from his regular appearance on television, including his show.
