The early life of George Soros 

George Soros was born in Budapest, Hungary. His father’s name is Tivadar Soros, a lawyer, and also he is known as an Esperanto speaker in the Literatura Mondo, the Esperanto literary magazine. His mother is Elizabeth, and she came from a thriving silk shop family. George has a brother named Paul Soros. 

George’s family changed them from German-Jewish to Soros to escape from persecution. His father was a prisoner during World War I, and he escaped prison and lived happily with his family.

George was born into a Jewish family; he could not attend school because of Nazi Germany’s occupation of Hungary. But his father is a professional lawyer, and he buys documents to prove that they were Christian from the Budapest siege; because of that document, George continued his early education.

He joined the London School of Economics and graduated with a bachelor’s science degree in Philosophy in 1951. George was born in Budapest, Hungary, on August 12, 1930, to the couple Tivadar Soros and Elizabeth. He is 91 years old as of 2022, and his birth name is György Schwartz. George married Annaliese Witschak in 1960, an ethnic German immigrant during World War II. George’s parents liked Annaliese very much, and they both got married and were blessed with three children. In 1983, they both divorced and separated officially.

After that, he moved to the arbitrage section and left his job there, and in 1956, he joined F.M Mayer in New York City. Worked there for three years; after that, he moved to Wertheim & co in 1959. 

In 1963, George was appointed vice president of Arnhold and S. Blechroeder investment bank in New York City. In 1973, George started the Soros Funds Management. Now the company is one of the most profitable hedge fund companies in history, and it will have an annual rate of 20%.

George started the Philanthropy organization named The Open Society Foundation in 1979, a network of foundations with partners in 100 countries. George will contribute to promoting individual rights, democracy, and freedom of expression. In 1984, George donated $ 32 billion to Open Society Foundations to help the people to promote equality, social freedom, and justice.
