Her mother, Sara Lynn Moore, is an actress, acting coach, and director, and she was converted to Judaism. 

Evan has four siblings three brothers and one sister. Her sister’s name is Aden Elins, and her brother’s names are Ira David Wood IV, an actor, Dana Wood, and Thomas Wood. Evan spent her early life in Raleigh with her parents and siblings. Evan’s parents were separated in 1996 and got divorced in 2002. Evan moved with her mother to Los Angeles in 1997 after her parents separated.
